The economy has changed and it's not coming back. Companies are moving their operations overseas in the name of cheap labor and high profits. Why would they pay an employee in the US $18 an hr when they can pay someone in China, India or the Philippines $1 to $3 an hour? More money into the company CEO's pocket, right? Another factor why companies run their operations overseas is that other countries don't have tough employment and facility laws as what we have here in the USA. No OSHA, No workers comp, less tax, no strict environmental laws,...need I say more? With jobs going overseas, more and more Americans are becoming jobless.
A recent report on msn news shows about 46.2 million people in the USA are below poverty. No jobs equals no money. Our jobs are probably not coming back and currently there isn't enough jobs to go around. If there is, those jobs are most likely minimum wage or close to minimum wage job position. This means, Americans will probably make less money than they did before the recession of 2008. Families with dependents who are below the poverty line will probably qualify for assistance. What about those who don't qualify for government assistance? Well, most of them are tapping into their 401K account to take out funds for emergency uses. This means, they are not going to have a safety net for the retirement years. Social Security is not going to be sustainable. We also have to consider that in the next few years, the American Dollar is not going to be worth as much as it is today. So what do people need to do today to secure their future financial interest? The solution is get involve in your own business.
